What Makes It Special
NOT Clay. NOT Ceramic.
Jaipur Blue Pottery is a rare handicraft made from quartz stone powder, glass, and Multani Mitti (Fuller's Earth). This 500-year-old Persian-origin technique makes each piece uniquely lightweight, durable, and stunningly beautiful.
💎
Quartz Stone Powder
Made from ground quartz — not clay. This gives Blue Pottery its distinctive translucent quality and lightweight feel. Each piece is unique.
🎨
Hand-Painted with Natural Pigments
Every motif is painted by hand using cobalt oxide for blue and copper oxide for green. Natural colors that never fade — even after decades.
🔥
Low-Temperature Kiln Fired
Fired at just 800°C in traditional kilns — unlike ceramics at 1200°C. This preserves the vibrant colors and delicate artistry of each piece.
🤲
Master Artisan Crafted
Our pieces come from artisans in Kot Jewar village near Jaipur, carrying forward generations of craft expertise. Fair trade practices ensured.

Our Story

A Legacy of Indian Artistry

AARTLY™ brings authentic Indian handicrafts to the world — sourced directly from skilled artisans across India.

Our Blue Pottery comes from the village of Kot Jewar near Jaipur, where our master craftsman and his team of artisans carry forward a centuries-old tradition with award-winning excellence.

Unlike mass-produced ceramics, every AARTLY™ piece is shaped by hand from quartz stone powder, painted with natural cobalt oxide pigments, and fired in a traditional kiln. The result? A piece of living heritage you can hold in your hands.

As we grow, we're adding Silver Jewelry, Metal Crafts, Block-Print Textiles, and Carpets — each sourced from India's finest artisan clusters with fair trade practices.

The Craft
How Blue Pottery Is Made
A meticulous 5-step process that has remained unchanged for centuries. No shortcuts. No machines.
1
Mix the Dough
Quartz stone powder, glass powder, and Multani Mitti (Fuller's Earth) are kneaded into a smooth dough. No clay is used.
2
Shape by Hand
The dough is hand-shaped using molds or free-form techniques. Each piece is unique — slight variations are the mark of authenticity.
3
Dry in Sun
Shaped pieces are sun-dried for 1-2 days in the Rajasthani heat until firm enough for painting.
4
Hand-Paint
Master painters apply intricate motifs using cobalt oxide (blue) and copper oxide (green) with fine brushes. Pure artistry.
5
Kiln Fire
Glazed and fired in a traditional kiln at ~800°C. The final piece emerges with its signature lustrous, vibrant finish.
